We are pleased to announce that ICG 669 in partnership with the Women’s Committee will be hosting an Introduction to Steadicam Workshop specifically for female members on November 20th* from 10 AM to 5 PM.
*There are 10 spots available but if we receive over 20 members registered prior to November 7th, we will look at adding another day on November 19th.

The workshop’s primary focus is to provide participants with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a rig. The workshop will show various types of gear, how to set up and balance the rig, discuss posture techniques, try on a rig, and learn the best practices while moving and standing still.

The workshop will be taught by long-time members Rob & David Crone and will have 2-3 different packages available to allow participants to interact with various gear setups.

Although this workshop will cover some operating techniques, this is an excellent opportunity for 2nd and 1st ACs to gain a better understanding of the challenges of working with a Steadicam and how to better assist your Operator.

Registration will close on Monday, November 7th at 9 AM PT. All registrants must pay the $200 workshop fee before Tuesday, November 8th at 9 AM PT.

Registration fees are eligible for reimbursement via the ICG 669 training subsidy, read more about the training subsidy here.

Please note any no-shows or late cancellations (after 9 AM Monday, November 7th) will be charged the full $200 fee. If you sign up and are unable to attend, please contact Erica the training coordinator at [email protected] or 604-239-4423.
