This workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to negotiation tactics to help you advance your career. Negotiation skills are required for every working professional and are especially important for those who are contract creatives. You will learn effective strategies and techniques for a variety of negotiation situations through lecture, discussion and role-playing. The workshop will focus on practicing the fundamental techniques so that you can feel confident to get the results you want on your next deal memo. Negotiation tactics are a learned art which is why we want to empower our members to make it work for you!

About the instructor:

Dr. Philip Grant is an adjunct professor at SFU, UNBC, and Langara College. Dr. Grant holds his Ph.D. from KTH-Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm Sweden, MBA from SFU and a B.Mus (Opera) from the University of British Columbia. In 2004 Philip co-founded The Canadian Tenors and in 2006 subsequently founded Romanza Entertainment. In addition to his administrative duties as Executive Director, he has since performed and produced over 300 professional operatic performances around the world. Dr. Philip Grant negotiated these performances and contracts and has a passion for negotiation strategies and techniques.
