We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting a 1st AC workshop run by long-time member Doug Lavender. This will be a 2-day workshop that will cover the roles and responsibilities of a 1st AC, including leadership, communication, organization, and paperwork, in addition to technical aspects of focus pulling.

Due to limited availability, this workshop will be open to 1st AC members only.  If you cannot register, please email the Training Coordinator at [email protected] to be placed on the waitlist.

Dates, Location and Times:

  • Saturday, October 22, 10 am – 5 pm PT at the ICG 669 Union Office (217-3823 Henning Drive, Burnaby, BC)
  • Sunday, October 23, 9:30 – 4:30 PT at TBD Rental House
    ** Participants will be required to attend both days. **

A friendly reminder to any 1st ACs in Alberta and Manitoba that in addition to the $500 Training Subsidy available to members, you have $500 to cover travel costs for training. If you are an AB or MB member interested in attending this event, please email the Training Coordinator for more details on how to request reimbursement.

Registration will close on Monday, October 17th at 9 AM PST. The $350 registration fee is due by end-of-day Monday, October 17th. You can request reimbursement for the registration fee via the ICG 669 training fund, read more about the training fund here. Please note any no-shows or late cancellations (after Monday, October 17th) will be charged the full $350 fee.
